Stuck at the Airport

As I recently experienced it's not the most joyous experience spending an overnight in an airport.

I saw this funny video of two travelers stuck at Dallas Ft Worth Airport. If I had high end camera equipment and could re-live my overnight in Chicago I would have done the same exact thing!

If you haven't seen the video check it out below:

:: Define Optmist ::

This week I'm feeling very positive from my TOMS post earlier this week, to this posting. This is a little off topic with the intention of this blog, but it's the backbone that energizes this mentality, this quest.....Optimism.

Its funny with this title I chose. This is the exact heading I chose to search in google and here is the result:

Optimistic  -n

  1. The tendency to expect the best and see the best in all things
  2. hopefulness; confidence

I always tend to see things in a positive light. I would much rather focus on the positive things life has to offer than the negative that constantly surrounds us. I see this in all places I visit. I always seem to come across people in my travels that are genuine life living  people. People that are enjoying life and all it has to offer. I always looked at these people as an outsider...I wonder how do these people get to do this?? I realize now that these people choose not to be constrained.... they just GO !

I don't want to drag this post out so I end this with a qoute from a truly great movie!

" For what it's worth: it's never too late or, in my case, too early to be whoever you want to be. There's no time limit, stop whenever you want. You can change or stay the same, there are no rules to this thing. We can make the best or the worst of it. I hope you make the best of it. And I hope you see things that startle you. I hope you feel things you never felt before. I hope you meet people with a different point of view. I hope you live a life you're proud of. If you find that you're not, I hope you have the strength to start all over again."

The Positivity of Giving

I am constantly on the lookout for inspirational, positive  material to share. This positivity can come from people and their stories, charities and their donations,  or even companies doing positive work to make an impact on this Earth. I have come across many positive things since starting this blog one of those being a company called TOMS.

I posted something back in April about this company and the One for One motto. It goes like this... for every pair of shoes they sell they donate a pair of shoes to a child in need. After checking out the many selections of shoes,

I picked my Botas as there called.

A few months later with some compliments ,and breaking in I can say I love the shoes, and especially like that my purchase had a positive effect !

I fully support this brand and the work they do. So now brings me to what this post is about. Recently TOMS launched an eye wear collection. Launched in support of the vision problem many less fortunate individuals face in other parts of the world. The concept is the same but the product has changed. Now for every pair of glasses they sell they will donate a pair of eye wear to someone truly in need of it.

So again I pass this on to the readers of this blog in hopes that you will make a purchase,  and take part in the One for One movement. I for one will make a purchase in support of this and post it when I receive the glasses.

I've also attached the video unveiling the new collection and the purpose behind it...PLEASE WATCH!!!

After watching feel free to visit the TOMS website:

Inspiration !

I start this post reflecting on where life has taken me in the last 2 months. I have opened my eyes to the things I want to do in life. I have allowed myself to stop thinking and start doing ! This doing has taken me to London, Las Vegas in one year almost back to back with no end in sight !

I have come across amazing, inspirational material through ordinary people and their amazing stories. I now see that if you seek out the positive it will find you as well. I continue to come across material that backs up where I'm heading in life. This blog was started with the intention to travel and continue that dream forever. I not only want to travel, but I would like to immerse myself within another culture... possibly for an extended period of time and then continuing to another and another! Breaking from the norm here in the U.S and to starting a new beginning a beginning where I start doing MORE! and stop thinking LESS!

I would love to share this information that I have come across in the last few months. I know not all people will see this in the same light...but for those who do I'll meet you on the other side !

Inspirational Blogs:

Man vs Debt

( A Blog about a man and his family who had acquired a huge amount of debt living a lifestyle that wasn't their own . So in turn they payed down all their debt and sold everything. They then began to travel the world! )

4inWorld ( Travelpod Blog)

( A similar story in which a family came to realize that what they had wasn't what they wanted. So naturally they sold everything and began traveling through Italy where they currently reside!)

Timothy Ferris ( 4 hour work week/body)

( A man that has stopped living the rat race and started doing things his way. Through his many failures he has accomplished many more successes! )

also check out his great book ( which I am currently reading...Amazing!) :

As I start to piece this puzzle together to see what moves I can make to fulfill this dream, I leave with this quote:

"Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?"

"That depends a good deal on where you want to get to," said the Cat

" I don't much care where..." said Alice.

"then it doesn't matter which way you go," said the Cat.
